A friend of mine owns an Infiniti G37. The plate works on multiple levels. I think if he can beat him in a drag race, he should get the plate.

I think he said "Fuhrer"

Well seeing that the bmw has its signal on I think the bmw is stolen! So it might not be that drivers plate after all!

If only the world worked like that.

You don't hate a right to a custom plate any more than you have a right to own a car, or any other possession. That being said, there is a definite market for custom plates. So while you don't own the right to a custom plate, one can say you own the right to be able to seek one out. Often times when new numbers are issued, people will begin bidding wars for plates like "1" and "0" and people who want specific vanity plates like that can buy them. Some states actually reserve them for various reasons too, and I've heard of some states auctioning them off as a fundraiser.

So you should totally be able to buy/convince someone to hand over a plate.
